An Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (or AICD in short) is a device implanted on a patient's chest to make sure to keep track and cure arrhythmia. This problem usually arises when the heart abnormally beats at a rapid pace. AICD not only diagnoses arrhythmia but also fixes it on longer terms.
It usually takes place when nurses give sedation and anesthesia to make sure that the patient's body relaxes before the start of the process. Our qualified cardiologist makes a small incision point through which they insert the AICD. These leads cross the veins of the heart get connected with the device.
Once the device starts working, the doctor seals the incision point. These processes get done in around 2-3 hours. Throughout the whole procedure, ECG and X-Ray help our doctors in placing the AICD.
