Coronary Angiography

The coronary Angiography process requires a special dye called contrast material along with X-rays imaging to check whether the blood flows through the heart's arteries or not. This procedure takes place along with Cardiac Catheterization. It also checks the pressure inside the heart chambers.

The process usually takes place when our nurses inject mild sedation into the incision area. It is then followed by the anesthesia that eases the body twitching. Through the incision point, our cardiologists make sure to pass the catheter tube. Through the artery, the cardiologists would then move it slowly to the heart.

X-Ray helps in the imaging part and positioning of the catheter. Once the catheter gets placed, the dye would get injected into the catheter. This flow will help in identifying the blockages in the heart.
